2025 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Khun
Khun is the winner of the 2025 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship. Khun completed high school in 2024 and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Business degree.
Khun is enrolled at the National University of Management, a leading business school in Cambodia. Khun comes from a disadvabtaged background and could not afford this opportunity without a helping hand from the lawyers at Reasonable Cause CPD.

2024 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Sreyleak
Sreyleak could not afford to attend university. Her father passed away when she was young. Her mother is in poor health and suffers diabetes and high blood pressure. She spends a lot on medication and regular medical care. Sreyleak dreamt of a university education so that she can support her family in the future, as well as have a career as a professional woman. Sreyleak is studying at the Institute of Finance and Accounting, a university in Phnom Penh. Sreleak come a tax agentnt in the Tax Department after graduating. Sreyleak’s scholarship covers a new motorbike, new laptop computer, and all university tuition fees. Sreyleak also works whilst studying as a teaching assistant at the Centre for Adaptive and Responsive Education (CARE).

2023 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Samnang
Samnang is the winner of the 2023 reasonable cause university scholarship. Sending predominantly crew up in out of home care. He did well at school and has decided to pursue a bachelors degree in English literature. He will likely end up a high school English teacher.

2022 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Sreypel
In 2022 Sreypel committee studying a Bachelor of Tourism at Mekong Cambodia University. Sreypel substantially grew up in out of home care. There is no student loan or deferred fee payment scheme for university students in Cambodia. Reasonable Cause supports Sreypel with all expenses, including a new Honda dream motorcycle, new laptop, new Samsung, smart phone, textbooks, and other expenses as required.
December 2023 update: Sreypel has decided not to continue her studies a she now has a young family.

2021 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Sreynoch
Sreynoch has enrolled in a Bachelor of Tourism at the National University of Managemet. Sreynoch is from humble beginnings and grew up in an out of home care facility that happened to have a tennis court. At age 10 Sreynoch was the under 14’s girls Cambodian national tennis champion. She has played junior Davis Cup representing Cambodia and received a junior doubles world ranking. She continues to enjoy her tennis while studying for her degree. Sreynoch also receives financial support from Tennis Cambodia.
March 2025 update: Sreynoch has now completed her degree and has secured graduate employment.

2021 Reaonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Hor
Hor has enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s most prestigious tertiary institution. Notwithstanding his humble beginnings, Hor was always at all near the top of his class throughout high school. He aspires to be an app developer after graduating. Hor has been assisted with university fees, as well as the purchase of a brand-new Dell laptop computer and a Honda Scoopy motorbike to assist him in travelling to and from campus. Hor works part time in a convenient store.
July 2025 update: Hor completed his studied in late 2024. He has now secured graduate employment and he’s working as an information technology professional.

2021 – Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Soknai
Soknai has enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Public Administration at Mekong Cambodia University. The degree is very similar to a law degree and leads to professional employment opportunities not only in government, but also the private sector and NGO sector. Soknai was very focused on her studies throughout high school and now her dream of attending university has become a reality. Soknai has been assisted with a new Lenovo computer with all relevant software and a new Honda Scoopy motorbike to assist her in travelling to and from campus. Soknai works part time in a convenience store.
March 2022 update: Soknai successfully completed the first year of her degree, but has now decided to change her studies to a Bachelor of Marketing at the National University of Management.

2020 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Sievhong
Sievhong is the winner of the 2020 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship. Sievhong is studying her first year of a Bachelor of International Relations at university in Phnom Penh. She has been assisted by the purchase of a Honda iNXC 1250cc motorbike to get herself to and from campus, as well as a brand-new Lenovo laptop computer loaded with all the relevant software. Sievhong is also assisted with university fees, a living allowance and incidental expenses pertaining to her education.
March 2021 update: Sievhong decided to switch to a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at the end of 2020.

2019 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Heng
Heng is a young woman with a strong academic background during her school years. Heng’s mother works in a garment factory. Heng is ambitious to achieve something more and understands that education is the key to her ambition. Heng is studying tourism university in Phnom Penh. Reasonable Cause is assisting her in her journey through university.
March 2021 update: Heng successfully completed the first year of her studies. She later decided to discontinue her studies as she now has a young family.

2018 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Sievhieng
Sievhieng is a young woman who always focused on her studies at school. She dreams of the day she might be able to attend university. She achieved a good result in the Cambodian Year 12 National Exam in 2017. Sievhieng and her family could not afford a university education. Thanks to lawyers attending Reasonable Cause CPD conferences, Sievhieng has enrolled in a Bachelor of Industrial Relations degree in Phnom Penh.
2024 update: Sievhieng successfully completed her degree and has secured graduate employment.

2017 Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Winner – Waew
Despite horrific for your injuries sustained as a child, Waew is now a young woman focusing on her skills and abilities. With financial assistance from a Reasonable Cause University Scholarship Waew is studying for a Bachelor of International Relations at university in Phnom Penh. She has it. She is a very smart, happy and friendly person who tries to succeed and has the world at her feet.
March 2021 update – Waew successfully completed her Bachelor of International Relations degree. She is working for an NGO in Kampot assisting young people and receiving a professional salary.
